The Korea Lacrosse Association will send the national team to the 2025 Asia-Pacific Women's Lacrosse Championship – World Qualifier, which will be held in Australia from the 4th.

Running from Jan. 6-11, 2025, the preliminary round for the Asian continent will qualify for the Women's Lacrosse World Championship, which will be held in Japan in 2026. Eight countries, including Korea, Japan, Australia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and the Philippines, will participate. Korea has been placed in the same group as New Zealand and Taiwan, including lacrosse powerhouses Japan.
Players from various backgrounds were included in the national team. In particular, Hwang Chae-rin, a third-generation Korean American, was selected as a member of the national team after her father.

Hwang Ki-hak, Hwang's father, was the first member of the Korean lacrosse team. Hwang Ki-hak participated as a defender in the 2002 먹튀검증 World Championship in Perth, Australia. At the time, he led the team as a defensive captain.

Lacrosse, which was distributed to Korea through the Korea Sports University and Kyung Hee University in 1997, formed its first national team in 2002.

Hwang applied for a tryout for the national team along with his younger brother Hwang Sung-wook and was selected. In particular, Hwang Sung-wook also played as a lacrosse specialist at Ohio State University.
Hwang Ki-hak was busy trying to get her daughter to join the national team. Hwang, who is working in Virginia, the U.S., traveled to Korea and Japan with her daughter and family to try out for the national team. Hwang, who is currently in high school, originally applied for the youth team, but she ran out of time and tried to compete for the adult national team.

As a result, he joined the adult national team and was named in the national team to participate in this tournament.

"I'm so proud of (Hwang) Chaerin. I'd like to thank the coaching staff for selecting young children. I hope they get good results," Hwang said.
